All too often, the lines between fashion and decor are faint. Boundaries are unclear, almost as if that dress you spotted in your local boutique was inspired directly from the Eames chair in your bedroom.

So in an effort to praise the blending of fashion and interior design, I offer "Fashion Forward," a look at beautiful interiors and the outfits they inspire.

Whenever I go to my regular thrifting strip (which, let's be honest, is pretty much every weekend), I be sure to stop in at Grot, the most fantastic handmade furniture store in, basically, the universe.

It's a tiny little shop FULL of midcentury finds, some refurbished, others recreated into new and incredibly lovely pieces. Credenzas, danish modern chairs and Redwood tables are scattered throughout Grot, each paying homage to the strategic craftmanship of its owner.

I so wish these pictures would do justice to the lovely pieces inside, but these will just have to do until I can get some better ones on my next visit.

Let's face it. I have a mad dream to visit San Fran in hopes of raiding Anica Boutique for fabulous vintage-inspired finds that would make any L.A. gal swoon.

And if I could fly there today? I'd pick these pieces and proudly wear them all through the end of 2007 and beyond.
